ABOUT

Move like yourself.

That’s what I’ve been doing for the great majority of my life. And that’s how I go about teaching- helping people find the way they move. I make yoga accessible to all- the fast-moving, slow grooving, upside-down, around the town folks. Over the years I‘ve worked more and more with people of varying levels of physical
abilities and those with illness and injury. I’ve come to experience and understand that everyone can move and benefit from these practices.

I started doing yoga years ago, almost by accident.

Initially it helped me with strength and flexibility. But, here’s why I stuck around:

I love the practice, the movement, the breath, the philosophy. I love doing it, studying it, teaching it. What keeps me doing yoga is
that it has changed my stress level, perspective, and general sense of wellbeing.

I am a 500- hour Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor, a C-IAYT certified yoga therapist and an Urban Zen Integrative
Therapist. I’m recently back from a 16-year stint in New York City where I taught yoga in studios, gyms, hospitals, homes, and out in
the streets.

I’m thankful for my first and excellent teachers, William Prottengeier and Monique Maxwell, and my subsequent teachers who included Allison West, Rodney Yee, Richard Freeman and Carla Stangenberg, among others. And, of course, my teaching is
influenced by my dogs, Ben and Jooniper.
